Y'all remember, before the days of Twitter, when D&D wasn't nearly as widely accepted as it is now, and if you wanted to roleplay, you had to use message boards or some other archaic medium? So I did that, and this was my most legendary character from those times. He was a dead ghost-type dude who was a master sorcerer, not unlike a lich. He was the bbeg in a collaborative fantasy world with several others, and he did the whole 'conquer the world' shtick. He came really close. He might have even gotten away with it too, if it hadn't been for those meddling fallen deities.
